
I am having a problem with my 2015 Equinox stalling during takeoff and when going into reverse. Questions: Has anybody else had this trouble? How easy is it to fix? Could I buy the part & do it myself? 3 Answers In other words, the problem was with the Position Actuator Circuit or Engine Variable Timing Solenoid Intake. Within 5 seconds they had an answer! The trouble was these codes: P0010, P0011 & P0011. And now it’s doing this while driving any time it wants to! And the ‘check engine’ light comes on intermittently.

The control module increases the pulse width to accomplish the desired camshaft operation.

The CMP actuator can change the camshaft angle a maximum of 25 degrees. The solenoid controls the amount of engine oil flow to a CMP actuator. The control module sends a pulse width modulated 12-volt signal to a CMP actuator solenoid. The CMP actuator solenoid is controlled by the control module.
